Plugins, Theme and WP Core not showing updates (Confirmed theme error)
-

jgParticipant
For a while now my site is not showing when updates are available. I either need to download the plugin files and manually update or switch themes, then all updates will show. Even in CLI, WP indicates all plugins are up to date, even when they are not.
I deactivated all plugins and still no updates were shown on the installed plugins page, but they appear properly and prompt me to update if I switch to a default theme. My host was also able to confirm that the error is due to a problem with the theme.
Please advise.
Hello,
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin and FTP access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance

All plugins except Woodmart core and Elementor are disabled, please feel free to disable them for testing if needed.
SFTP credentials in Private content area.
Thanks
Please, switch to the parent theme also. Thank you

Done.
Oddly now the plugins are showing updates, whereas with a previous version of the theme they would not show even with the parent theme activated. Now that Woodmart has been manually updated, the conflict seems to reside in the Child theme.
I would appreciate if you could help identify and remedy the issue.
Thanks
Hello,
There is probably some PHP code in your child theme that affects this functionality. Try to remove all the custom code from the child theme and check how it works. Note that fixing child theme customizations is out of our theme support scope.

Thanks to your idea to check parent theme vs child theme I was able to identify a code snippet which was blocking plugin updates.
