SKU # Not Changing When Selecting Variations

Hello,
Not sure what has happened to my site – but SKUs no longer change when a customer is clicking on product variations.
Please advise what the issue is and how to resolve it. You have permission to deactivate plugins if needed.

Yes this attribute is hidden so that swatches appear on the shop page when users hover over the quick preview.
This is the only way for this to work without messing up attributes further.
This was working for me previously. It’s all of a sudden stopped.
