Slow single product page loading

    Hi,

    Yesterday we updated to Woodmart 7.1.2.

    Everything is working fine except for the loading time of SINGLE PRODUCT pages when logged in. I can’t find what the cause of the slow loading is.

    FYI: we use woodmart for several years and don’t have any conflicting or to many plugins. So we expect this is related to the latest update of the theme.

    Hello,

    Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your FTP access so we can check it?

    Hello,

    We see that your dashboard is slow as well. Please, keep all plugins that are not related to our them temporarily turned off so we can do our further tests.
    Also, allow us to switch between themes and compare the loading time of the product page.

    Hi Artem,

    because you’re on a live server I would like to ask you to disable the plugins yourzelf during your tests and switch them back on when you’re ready. You can also switch between themes. I did that myself already and with the Twenty Two theme enabled the problem is solved so it must have a relation with Woodmart.

    We’re based in The Netherlands so it would be nice if you do the test in the nightly hours between 0.00 en 6.00 AM. This is our local time https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/netherlands/amsterdam

    Hello,

    Our working time is 09:00-18:00 GMT+2. Let me know if we can disable your plugins now. Otherwise, you will need to create a staging website where you will be able to do such experiments and not harm your live website.

    It seems to be a bug in our theme. Please, let me know if the problem arises again. We will include the fix in our next theme update.

    Ok, thanks.

    Frontend problem is solved but the admin (in particular the All Products tab) is still slow. Also, after saving changes in a product description, the initital reloading of the single products page (frontend) is slower than usual.

    For now it’s ok, but maybe it’s something to take notes for the next theme update.

    Hello,

    When you first load the product page it does all the heavy database requests and caches them. That is why it might be slower after resaving the product.

    As for the backend performance, please, compare how it works with the default theme since WoodMart shouldn’t affect the backend part.

    Somehow I doubt that, because after releasing 7.1.4 problems of slow backend loading are solved.

    Hello,

    My last reply was related to a single product on the frontend, not on the backend. And we didn’t change anything related to the backend so this problem probably was unrelated to our theme.
