Thumbnail Display Issue After WoodMart Theme Update

    Hello,

    Today I unintentionally updated my WoodMart theme. This happened after I clicked on the “New update available” button. My intention was only to read about this update, but it started updating automatically. As a result, my files were overwritten to default, such as header.php and other pages. My Loco Translate translations are also all gone. No, I didn’t have a backup.

    Therefore, question 1:
    Is it possible to retrieve the lost translations and codes somewhere?

    Question 2:
    The single product page thumbnails look different on desktop than on mobile. I achieve this through Options presets within the Theme Settings. Please see the image below:

    On desktop, everything works fine after the update, the thumbnails are displayed large and wide, stacked vertically. See the desktop settings below:

    The thumbnails are set differently in the mobile preset. See the mobile settings below:

    After the update, the small thumbnails under the main product image are no longer displayed (mobile device), instead, there are dots. That is not intended. How can I bring back the small thumbnail images? Please refer to the attached image for reference:

    Disabling plugins did not help. When refreshing the mobile page, I notice that all the images load and appear very quickly, but then they disappear. Perhaps something is blocking it now? I hope you can assist me with this.

    Hello,

    1. Translations files shouldn’t be stored in the theme folder. As mentioned in our documentation, you always need to keep them in wp-content/languages folder. And you don’t need to customize any files in the parent theme. Use child theme for this https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/setup-child-theme/

    2. Could you please send us your FTP access so can check the presets problem after update?

    I’ve had also the same problem mentioned in question 2 and I needed to update some template files in the child theme like /woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php. Maybe this helps.
