Custom attribute ordering on the front end shop

Hello, I have an attribute with the following terms and with the following custom order: 1000 grams, 500 grams, 250 grams
I have created a product with the following variations, in this exact order:
1. 1000 grams: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 1kg
2. 500 grams: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 500gr
3. 250 grams: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 250gr
My understanding is that since I use a custom order, on the front page, the products must appear in this order:
First item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 1kg
Second item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 500gr
Third item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 250gr
The problem is that they appear in this order:
First item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 1kg
Second item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 250gr
Third item: Cauca Popayan Colombia Supremo 100% Arabica 500gr

Could you please check how it works with some default WordPress themes like TwentyTwenty or WooCommerce Storefront to understand is it our theme issue or not?

Hello, I would rather not do that since the website is in production and I cannot change the theme. Can you spin up a test site with your theme and check it? Or do you know how this should work?
