Swatches modification for backorder products

How would it be possible to alter the swatches icon of backorder products in a similar way to out of stock?
So when products are on backorder a grey box appears instead of a green which appears for available products for example.

Sorry to say but right now there is no option in Theme Settings available for that. It requires Customization and this is beyond our limitations and support policy scope. Hope you can understand our limitations.
