How to use just the homepage of a prebuilt site

How can I use just one page (or specific) pages from a prebuilt site. I now have only the option to activate the whole prebuilt site (including theme settings), but I just want a few pages to start working on.

In the installation process it is mentioned that when I upload the demo, all theme settings will be reset.
That is not what i want. I just want the (home)page (under pages in wordpress).
