    Hello,

    You can use the tag cloud widget to filter by a tag. To do this Go to Appearance -> Widgets -> add the product tag cloud in the shop page widget area. It will show in the shop page sidebar.

    We don’t want to add a product tag cloud, we want to add a product tag filter that replaces the “Stock status” filter.

    Hello,

    Sorry to say you cannot use filter tag here. Try to add a product tag widget from appearance > widgets to achieve this functionality.
