Remove Links from brand slider above footer

Hello,
I would like to remove the links from the brand images in the brand slider at the bottom of my page. I want to keep the images and slider, but not have them linked and clickable.
I have included an image to clarify.

No Brand element has a link and it impossible to remove. Try this element: http://prntscr.com/j3xhqf If you do not fill out the text but only add your brands images you will get carousel not linked.

4/ Add an image and set the image size: http://prntscr.com/j45qrb
5/ Add as many image-brands as you need http://prntscr.com/j45r8d clone and edit each.

Thank you for the detailed tutorial. I went though and followed it an it turned out nice. However, there was an overlap problem. Carousel seems to be overlapping with the Instagram plugin.
I have attached an image to clarify.
Also notice under the brand carousal the icons/images are grey scale and then come to color once once hovered over. Could you guide me in the direction to figure that out?

I was able to fully change the brand carousel to an information carousel and setup the way I wanted to.
Unfortunately, this change only took place on the Homepage. I went and added it to one of my html block short codes and it worked there. However, on ALL my other pages the brand carousel is still there.
How do I go about changing this universal?
Cancel last request. I was able to find it under theme settings>footer>HTML before footer. I just plugged in my html shortcode.
