Product Category widget in sidebar
-
Hello, is there an widget i can use in the sidebar that will allow me to select certain categories? The only thing i see is category for post and a widget for every single product category which shows too many categories. I need one where I can select what categories I want to display unless I can use a drop down style for the one that shows all categories.
How can I make that happen? Please let me know a detailed answer and what option that would be.
Thank you!
Hi robrian565,
Thanks for reaching to us.
You can create HTML Blocks and use Products (grid or carousel) or Product Categories widgets https://prnt.sc/77C43u7IX58F and select specific categories https://prnt.sc/CRwJHPcarJt4 per your need in the page builder. Then save the changes and publish that html block.
Then, use WoodMart HTML Block widget to display it https://prnt.sc/EstMRC0r0toU
Here is documentation about HTML Blocks https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/html-blocks-usage/
Regards,
Thank you so much! I do have another question about sidebar widgets.
I have my side bar for my shop page and single product page. I’m using a lot of the same widgets but the widgets for the sidebars act different depending on weather it’s on the shop page or single product page.
If its the shop page, lets say recently viewed products or post categories, on the shop page they work as a drop down box and on a single product page, they’re always open.
How can I get them to function without being a drop down box? Please see the attached screen shots.
