robin-9123ParticipantHi,
I purchased the licence today (another developer developed the site and I don’t believe he bought a separate licence) but it won’t update. I’ve entered the purchase code.
I get the following message:
An error occurred while updating Woodmart: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
Can you please help?
My client is on v. 7.2.3.
Thank you.
Robin

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Try to do the following to update the theme:
1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
5. Try to update the theme via Appearance -> Themes or via Dashboard -> Updates.Regards

robin-9123ParticipantHi Aizaz,
I’ve done that but it still doesn’t work. I deactivated the theme but when I return to Woodmart > Theme Licence, it’s already reactivated itself without me adding the licence code.
I get the following message again when trying to update:
An error occurred while updating Woodmart: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Robin

robin-9123ParticipantThank you.
What did you do? Will I be able to update it in the future myself?
I see the child theme is no longer active. Can I re-activate it? The site looks slightly different now: the text is smaller and the filter on the left hand side of the Shop page no longer has a red background. I don’t know what else is different without going through each page.
Please see the live site vs the staging site (which I set up two days ago when trying to resolve the issue myself): text size and filter background on Shop page.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
I have uploaded the recent version of the theme via Appearance > Themes > Add new > Upload the theme.
Yes you can activate the child theme on your site. If you have added custom CSS to your theme, review the changes. It’s possible that the update may have affected the existing custom styles. Make adjustments as needed to bring back the desired appearance.
Best Regards.
