How to create a shop home page

    Hi there

    Apologies for noob question.
    I am confused at workflow for creating a shop home page?
    Understand you can create a “layout” for product archive, but how do you use the layout?
    Do you create a new page, eg: “Shop”, and then somehow use the layout above? If so, how?

    Thanks for reaching to us.

    You still need to create Shop page and set it as Shop Page in WooCommerce > Settings.

    Regarding to Custom WooCommerce pages layout, please refer to documentation for more details

    I dont understand the workflow.
    If I create a page “Shop”, set it as Shop Page in WooCommerce, I get this error “You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template…

    So what order?
    1. Create page “Shop”
    2. Edit Page in Elementor
    3. Publish
    4. Set as Store in WooCommerce
    5. Create “Product Archive” layout

    ?

    The same question for Cart, Shopping Basket etc

    I know how to create layouts, but how do you “use” them?
    What is the workflow please?

    Hi arno.nel.work,

    I will try to explain better.

    By default, you can create WooCommerce pages and set to WooCommerce > Settings and these page will use settings in Theme Settings, however, you can customize these page or place elements into position you want.

    With Custom WooCommerce layouts, you can have more options to do that. For e.g: When you create Custom Shop Page layout, that created layout will applied to Shop page archive that set in WooCommerce > Settings.

    Hi arno.nel.work,

    First of all, take our apologies for the long delay in answering.

    You cannot edit the WooCommerce pages directly with any page builders.

    – You can go to Dashboard > Theme Settings > Product archive and there you can find options related to WooCommerce pages.

    – You are also can use Custom WooCommerce Builder to rebuild WooCommerce pages, please refer to documentation https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/
