Testing Theme before Updating it on Live site

Hi,
Woodmart is releasing regular update for theme, this is good but, when a site is live and we update the them on live site then if anything goes wrong on live theme..this would be irritating…so how to solve this issue?
I have two hostings..
1. Shared hosting (Previously i used this)
2. VPS Hosting (Currently i am using it, registered for barbarusa.com)
Can i activate one licence to both hostings?
If i purchase a domain name for shared hosting which is abandoned now, can i able to use one licence for both? one is for testing another is for live?
Hello,
You can activate one and the same license on dev and live site. In order to avoid problems in the process of update, activate your theme license and update via Appearance > Theme > your theme. In this case theme files only updated and all the settings and CSS remain the same.

When i try to update theme through Appearance > Theme > Add New > Upload Theme > Woodmart.zip

The error caused by PHP max upload size exceeded. Please contact your host provider and increase the limit.
