adam.maznevParticipantHello WoodMart Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with the “Price by Formula Calculator for WooCommerce” plugin on my website, which is using the WoodMart theme. This plugin is essential for our business as it dynamically calculates the price based on width x length inputs, allowing customers to get an accurate price before adding products to the cart.
Issue Summary:
The calculator works perfectly on mobile devices, dynamically updating the price as the user inputs width and length.
However, on desktop (PC), the calculator does not dynamically update the price when the user inputs width and length. The price only displays correctly if I refresh the page.
After refreshing the page, the calculator functions as expected, but this refresh requirement disrupts the user experience.
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:Consultation with WP Rocket Support:
I initially suspected WP Rocket was causing the issue, so I tested bypassing WP Rocket and fully deactivated it. However, WP Rocket support confirmed that the issue persists even on a non-cached page and with WP Rocket completely disabled. They provided a recording showing the broken calculator functionality
Consultation with Plugin Support (Price by Formula Calculator):The plugin support team recommended deferring the plugin’s JavaScript entirely. They also suggested modifying specific code within woosppo_main_front.php to avoid caching conflicts. Unfortunately, these adjustments did not resolve the issue, as it still persists without WP Rocket enabled.
Given that both WP Rocket and the plugin support have ruled out issues on their end, it appears there might be a compatibility problem between the WoodMart theme and the “Price by Formula Calculator” plugin.Request for Assistance: This plugin is crucial for our business, as accurate price calculation based on user input is key to our operations. Could you please investigate this compatibility issue and suggest any solutions or workarounds to ensure that the calculator functions correctly on desktop without needing a page refresh?
Thank you very much for your assistance

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
Navigate to Theme Settings -> Single product -> Add to cart -> disable the “AJAX add to cart” option – https://prnt.sc/rFyxShuPxKiJ, clear the cache and recheck the issue.
Kind Regards

adam.maznevParticipantHi Luke
I appriciate the video
Unforunately the reason it works for you is because your on the same product and the plugin will always work when you refresh the page
If you try to disable ajax and go onto a new window and try a different product it will not work
I have attached a video recording with my phone please take a look
ThanksNovember 15, 2024 at 1:47 pm #612402
adam.maznevParticipantVideo is too large so i have uploaded it online for you

adam.maznevParticipantThe plugin support team came back and said this i quote:
“Hi there,
Hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing your site admin credentials. While debugging the issue on your site we have noticed that whenever we click on the form or around the form in the product summary area it duplicates the form (see screenshots before click.png and after click.png). So that is why it is causing the issue not displaying correctly on the desktop. So we can not fix it from our and will suggest you to contact the site developers as they can better guide you about form duplication. We hope you will understand. Thanks for your cooperation and patience.”

Luke NielsenKeymasterHello,
It seems that it happens due to this https://prnt.sc/XzISXAP4pwi4 error, try to disable the WP Rocket plugin, then clear the server/browser cache and recheck the issue.
Kind Regards

adam.maznevParticipantHi Luke thanks for getting back to me
I don’t think its WP rocket thats causing the issue as i have already tried to fully disable it and clear cache serverside on my hosting which didn’t help
I have also reached out to wp rocket personally and they also dont think its due to wp rocket
The calculator works until you scroll down on the page. Could it be due to the sticky product or?
