Upload video as featured image

    Hi

    I try to upload MP4 video (1M) as featured image but it doesnt work

    (video is in the wordpress media) but i cant attach it to a product page
    same in the product gallery

    is there anything i must set somewhere ?

    Images gallery :

    I could add a video in the images gallery

    if i understood well, i need to first add an image in the image gallery, and THEN i can add a video associated to this image right ? so that the video can show

    Featured image / video

    i just realized i had to select “native player” in the options so that the video can show as the featured image on single product page

    am i right ?

    Yes, for the video inside the product image gallery, you need to first add an image to the gallery. After that, you can hover on that image and attach a video to it. This way, the video will be associated with that image and appear in the gallery when the customer views it.

    Could you please share a screenshot of what you’re trying to achieve? That’ll help me understand better and guide you accordingly.

    ok for the product image gallery

    for the featured image with video, it seems it will show as video only if i select “native player” in the options, i noticed that if i leave default video display = simplified, then the video wont show as featured image

    so with native player selected, it works

    do you confirm this behavior ?

    and i could replicate something similar to this :

    Hello,

    Yes, the product image will appear with both video display types — Simplified and Native Player. However, if you want the video to appear and function like in the demo (inline playback as the featured image), you will need to select the Native Player option.

    Simplified. With this type our theme adds simple buttons to control your video and hides native player interface.

    Native player. Video is displayed with its native interface depending on the source of the video.
