nayeemitParticipantHello WoodMart Support Team,
I’m experiencing significant performance issues on my website when customers interact with the e-commerce functionality. Specifically, the site is very slow when users click the “Add to Cart” button and also during the checkout process. Below are the details of the issue and what I’ve tried so far:
Issue Details:
Slow Response Times: When a user clicks the “Add to Cart” button or proceeds to place an order, there is a noticeable delay before the action is completed.
Impact on User Experience: The slow performance may lead to frustrated users and potentially lost sales, as the delay might cause customers to abandon the purchase.
Consistent Behavior: The problem occurs consistently across different browsers and devices.
What I’ve Tried:
Clearing Caches: I’ve purged the site’s cache using WP Rocket as well as refreshed the Cloudflare cache, but the issue persists.
Plugin and Theme Updates: All plugins and the WoodMart theme (and its child theme, if applicable) are up-to-date.
Plugin Conflict Checks: I temporarily deactivated non-essential plugins to rule out conflicts; however, the problem did not resolve.
Debugging: I enabled WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php to look for errors, but no clear issues have been identified yet.
Server Health: I reviewed the server logs for PHP errors or timeout issues, and while everything seems within normal parameters, the sluggish behavior continues.
Request for Assistance:
I’m looking for guidance on additional troubleshooting steps or configuration adjustments that might help resolve this slow performance. Has anyone encountered similar issues with the WoodMart theme? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for your support!

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the performance issues you’re facing with the “Add to Cart” and checkout functionalities on your website. We understand how crucial it is to have these processes operating smoothly for a positive user experience.
To assist you further, we recommend the following steps:
1. Default Theme Test: Please switch to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Twenty-Three, and check if the performance issue persists. This will help us determine if the problem is specifically related to the WoodMart theme.
2. Comparison Video: It would be helpful to have a short screen recording showing the delay with the “Add to Cart” and checkout processes. This will allow us to see the issue in action and make a more informed assessment.
Please share the results of the default theme test and the comparison video. If needed, you can use the Private content field to share sensitive data such as URLs or other credentials securely.
Looking forward to your response to assist you effectively.
Regards

Artem TemosKeymasterPlease keep all plugins that are not related to our theme temporarily turned off. Disable and clear all kinds of caches. We will log in and test with both themes ourselves to see the difference.

nayeemitParticipantI’ve found a problem with the PHP version. When I keep it at PHP 7.4, my website https://www.ogerio.com runs smoothly. But when I update to PHP 8.3, issues start to occur.
Could you please let me know how I can solve this issue and ensure compatibility with PHP 8.3?

Artem TemosKeymasterIt is not related to the PHP version. Please disable plugins as we asked in the previous reply so we can check.
