Err when I try to update the Theme from 2.2.1 to 2.8

Err when I try to update the template from 2.5.1 to 2.8 it get following Err and update stops.
Update Failed: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”> 504 Gateway Timeout Gateway Timeout The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application

Thank you for choosing our theme and contacting us.
Try to do the following:
1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Try to update the theme.

When it was deactivated, update section could not find updating at all. When the theme was activated again and I try to update, I got new error:_ PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
I got the same Err when I trying to update it after deactivating the theme.

Where exactly do you get this error?
when I do update Theme.. it takes couple of min and gave this err.
But we already updated it and didn’t see any errors. Seems that you didn’t perform the steps from our instruction one by one.
Did you try this algorithm?
1. Go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Theme License and deactivate the theme.
2. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and click on Check Again.
3. Activate the theme with your purchase code again.
4. Try to update the theme.
When I deactivate the theme, the update button disappear so I don’t know how to update?

If I replace the files manually to theme’s folder do I lose also the settings I have made?
