Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog and under Shop page displays, select “Show products” only. This will remove the default category display from the shop loop.
Then, create a custom layout for product archive pages and edit your product archive layout with a page builder and manually add the Product Categories widget to display categories in a separate row above the products.
Further, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Your issue has been resolved. Now on the shop page, only the category carousel is showing. Navigate to Appearance -> Customize -> Product -> Products Catalog -> Shop page , display choose only “Products”.

giannisthParticipanthello, the issue is that every time i click on a category or subcategory, all the categories and subcategories appear on the top of each and every page.
1. i need these categories and subcategories to show but only on main shop page.
2. i need to separate products from the main subcategories and to place them one line under . please see screenshot attachment of first thread.
Now none of the above exist.
The main shop does not have the categories and subcategories (only on carouzel) and on the categories page ALL the categories and subcategories appear above the selected subcategory.
Thank youSeptember 11, 2025 at 2:41 pm #685863
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
You are using a custom layout “New layout shop 22” and this layout is only for the shop page. In this layout, you are showing the categories as a carousel. In this layout, you can edit the product categories widget and set the data source WooCommerce query, and set the layout from the style tab that you want.
For the categories pages, navigate to > Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > category display and choose what you actually want for categories pages: https://postimg.cc/hzpkchv9
For the categories, you are using the “New layout products archive page” layout. You can edit this layout for category pages.
Please, you can read more about the Layout Builder here: https://xtemos.com/docs-topic/woodmart-woocommerce-layout-builder/

giannisthParticipantHello,
i have followed exactly the steps and it keeps showing ALL the categories on every category-subcategory page.
Could it be due to the fact that all of these layers are enabled , maybe by mistake? Maybe only one or two should be enabled?
P.S why is the shop page loading so slowly? could it be due to the infinite products loading and not per page?
thank youAttachments:

giannisthParticipanthi again,
in your response regarding the first thread of this post, you said:
“Please navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog and under Shop page displays, select “Show products” only. This will remove the default category display from the shop loop. Then, create a custom layout for product archive pages and edit your product archive layout with a page builder and manually add the Product Categories widget to display categories in a separate row above the products.”
So i did so and after this it keeps showing ALL the categories on every category-subcategory page which is not what i need.
So now i went to “New layout products archive page” and deleted the Product Categories and they disappeared (which is ok) but also have the subcategories gone.
In a few words i need this:
when the visitor selects a main category from the menu e.g https://test.texkat.gr/product-category/%cf%83%ce%bf%ce%bc%cf%80%ce%b5%cf%82/ he/she must go to the page which has the 3 subcategories + the products (UNDER the subcategories). Now only the products show without the subcategories.

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
On the category page: https://test.texkat.gr/product-category/%cf%83%ce%bf%ce%bc%cf%80%ce%b5%cf%82/
If you want to show 3 sub-categories above the products, edit the “New layout products archive page” layout with wp bakery and add the product categories widget and choose the data source “custom query”, and choose only the 3 sub-categories.See screenshot for better understanding: https://postimg.cc/zbTgLVnG

giannisthParticipanthi again. the link i sent you is just an example. i need the subcategories to be applied on all appropriate pages. This used to exist normally, i only needed the products to be placed under the subactegories. Now the subcategories do not show in the appropriate pages. So how please do we fix this?
thank youSeptember 12, 2025 at 3:25 pm #686135
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Yes, when you add the categories in the “New layout products archive page” layout, They will show on all the categories pages not just on this category.
Best Regards,
