chnprintParticipantmy WooCommerce store where every time the page is refreshed, the font weight seems to jump, causing a flashing effect. This happens every time the page refreshes, and it lasts for a short time.
Problem description:
The font weight changes during page refresh, creating a disjointed visual effect.
This is especially noticeable during the initial page load, and the font returns to normal once the page is fully loaded.
Any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for your help!September 23, 2025 at 1:22 pm #687676
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
It seems to be a caching issue. Please purge your site cache, browser cache, and CDN cache, and check the site to confirm if the issue persists.
Additionally, navigate to Theme Settings > Performance > Preloader and enable it. This way, the preloader will show until the entire page is fully loaded, improving the user experience.

chnprintParticipantHello,
I have already tried the suggested steps:
Cleared site cache, browser cache, and CDN cache.
Tested again in incognito mode.
The issue still persists. Specifically:
On page refresh, the font weight still jumps, creating a flashing/disjointed effect.
When opening a page for the first time, both sides of the screen also flash inward for a very short time.
I would like to solve this fundamentally, not just by using a preloader. If necessary, I can even switch to system default fonts to ensure stability.
To clarify: this is not about the font itself changing (no FOUT/FOIT issue), but rather the font weight rendering that appears inconsistent during load.
Could you please advise if this could be related to how font weights are being loaded (e.g., multiple weights, variable fonts, or fallback weight rendering), and whether there’s a way to enforce stable weight rendering during initial load?
Thank you in advance.September 26, 2025 at 12:22 pm #688206
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins and activate only theme-required plugins on the site, and then check the issue. I am sure your issue will be solved. Then activate the 3rd party plugins one by one and check which plugin is creating the issue for you.
Otherwise, if the issue still exists, then keep the 3rd party plugins deactivated and share the WP login details, so I can check and give you a possible solution.

chnprintParticipantHello Aizaz,
Thank you for your reply.
I have already tried the following steps before reaching out again:
– Deactivated all 3rd-party plugins, leaving only theme-required plugins active. The issue still persists.
– Checked Elementor’s global font settings to ensure no conflict.
– Reviewed all CSS related to fonts to confirm no duplicate or conflicting rules.
– Disabled asynchronous Google Fonts loading (switched to standard load).
– Tested again in incognito mode and across multiple browsers.
The flashing/jumping font weight effect still happens during page refresh.
It seems less related to plugins and more about how font weights are being loaded/rendered during the initial paint.
Could you please advise if this might be connected to variable fonts, multiple font weights being loaded, or fallback rendering behavior, and whether there’s a way to enforce stable weight rendering at initial load?

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
This is due to the “font-display” option for text fonts, which is set to swap https://monosnap.ai/file/5Hp0cshv59srCiHEqUjMbyexu1K6zm.Try to select Disable and check it.
Best Regards.

chnprintParticipantThis doesn’t work. The font still flashes on load, and the weight also flickers.
It seems the system still loads “woodmart-font” first and then switches to Poppins, even though I’ve set Poppins everywhere.October 6, 2025 at 10:04 am #689246
Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
Actually, that’s not the case — woodmart-font is an icon font. However, at the moment we no longer see the issue with the font changing during loading: https://monosnap.ai/file/rQlk4ix7YbecfglD3S0wBs5seoXnP4

Aizaz Imtiaz AwanKeymasterHello,
We checked your main website and see that you are still using font-display: swap https://monosnap.ai/file/FD3YkI05xDyaOfpJ2rdx4RzhZz6sHH.
Please disable it and check again, since on the staging site font-display is disabled, and we don’t observe this issue there.
Best Regards,
