Duplicated homepage not able to set as new default frontpage

I followed this step to create a new page and set that as homepge but its breaking my website
Jewel demo, Elementor-based
Steps taken:
Open the original homepage → Save as Template.
Create a fresh page → Insert Template → publish.
Customizer → Homepage Settings → set New Home as your homepage.
Save.
and the the new page si completely broken. please see the video below.

Please help as i want to make changes only in the duplicated page.

The video is definitely working without any issue i have tested in multiple devices.

The issue was caused by the sidebar being enabled on the new page you created. In the original demo homepage, there’s no sidebar, but the new page had one active — that’s why the layout was breaking.
I’ve now created a new page, disabled the sidebar, and set it as your homepage. It’s working fine now.
You can go ahead and make any changes to this new page safely.
