Hello XTemos team,
I’m seeing an issue where my product photos appear very small inside Google Shopping / Merchant thumbnails (screenshot attached). Competitors’ images fill the card but my “Veste marocain / veste berbere” (brand: Madeinatlas) looks tiny and lost in the middle.
Details:
Theme: WoodMart (please tell me which exact setting to change)
Platform: WooCommerce on WordPress
Example source image (used on product): https://madeinatlas.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/10/Moroccan-jacket-Berber-jacket-moroccan-jacket-men.webp
Browser check: document.querySelector(‘img’).naturalWidth → 1200 (so the file is reasonably large)
Composition: the jacket does not occupy most of the canvas is the theme/feed crops it the product and becomes very small?
What I need help with:
Which exact WoodMart / Customizer setting controls the shop/catalog thumbnail cropping for product cards that Google picks up? (Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Product image — is that the right place, or a WoodMart panel path?)
Recommended settings for WooCommerce/WoodMart so product fills the thumbnail used by Google Shopping (uncropped / 1:1 / 4:3?).
Best practice for images sent to Merchant Center (aspect ratio, minimum px, full-size vs thumbnail in the feed). Google’s thumbnails seem to show my image smaller than competitors — what should I change in the theme or feed to avoid this?
Any required follow-up steps (regenerate thumbnails, clear CDN) or small CSS tweaks (e.g. object-fit: cover) you recommend for WoodMart?
I’ve attached a screenshot showing the issue. Thanks in advance — a short list of exact menu paths / recommended values would be perfect so I can apply and test quickly.
