website loading very slow

HI Please help. Our site updated to the new version of wordpress 6.9 and now it is so slow when login to wordpress admin or live site. Could you please take a look or maybe need a theme update on your end.

Guys at Woodmart, can you please have the decency to at least acknowledge the KNOWN ISSUE with WoodMart running WP 6.9 and actually work towards a solution? You see issues about the theme and WP 6.9 popping up almost every hour.
Please stop the “default wordpress theme” canned answers and actively listen to your buyers.

I can confirm, WordPress 6.9 is having a conflict with the Woodmart theme. As mentioned by NikMvr.
My website is not loading (or taking 20 secs) after updating to 6.9.

Hi Dave, as a solution try to downgrade WP to the previous version, I can’t offer much advice on this as this was actually handled by our webhost.
But I see some plugins can actually rollback to previous versions, given that you can actually gain access to the admin backend! Good luck! And hopefully Woodmart guys will issue a fix soon!

After reading the reddit post i tried this solution, and worked for me. It can take some time for the CPU to drop. But after adding the speed is normal again.
I put the following in the child theme:
function woodmart_get_previous_product($in_same_term = false, $excluded_terms = ”, $taxonomy = ‘product_cat’) { return false; }
function woodmart_get_next_product($in_same_term = false, $excluded_terms = ”, $taxonomy = ‘product_cat’) { return false; }

You can fix it by applying patch # 699195. To do this, go to Dashboard -> WoodMart -> Patcher, find the corresponding patch and click on the “Apply” button. Let us know if it works for you.
