“Hello, I want to add the sidebars I’ve organized to my categories, but I couldn’t figure out how to add a sidebar to a category. How can I add the specific sidebar I want to the category of my choice? Thanks.”

    Hello,

To add different sidebars for different product categories in WoodMart, use the built-in WoodMart Layouts builder, which allows for assigning custom sidebars via conditional logic. Create a custom shop archive layout, assign it to specific categories, and add the “Shop filters” or sidebar widget area within that layout.

    1. This method allows you to create specific layouts for individual product categories.
Create a New Sidebar: Go to Dashboard > Sidebars and create a new custom sidebar (e.g., “Accessories Sidebar”).

    2. Add Widgets: Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the desired widgets (e.g., product filters, categories) to your new “Accessories Sidebar”.

    3. Create Layout: Navigate to WoodMart > Layouts > Builder.

    4. Add Layout: Click Add New and choose the “Shop archive” type.

    5. Configure Conditions: In the layout builder, set conditions to show this layout only for specific product categories (e.g., “Accessories”).

    6. Add Sidebar: In the Layout builder, add the Sidebar element to your column. In the element settings, select the custom sidebar you created (“Accessories Sidebar”).

    7. Save and Publish: Save the layout.

I don’t edit my categories from the layout section; I edit them from the theme settings section.

    Hello,

You can not assign different sidebars while using the categories from the theme settings. It is only possible with custom layout builder.

    Best Regards.
