    Dear Woodmart Support Team,
    I hope you’re doing well.
I am writing because of a serious issue with Woodmart theme that is causing major problems on my website mitella.hr.
WP Rocket support has confirmed that Woodmart is automatically modifying the following file:
    /wp-content/wp-rocket-config/mitella.hr.php
It is adding an extra |/| in the $rocket_cache_reject_uri line, which completely prevents the homepage from being cached. This is the problematic part:

    PHP|/|/usporedi/

Because of this, the homepage is not cached, which has led to catastrophic performance scores on Google PageSpeed Insights (both mobile and desktop).
I am attaching the latest PageSpeed reports (before and after the temporary WP Rocket fix) so you can see the difference.

    My requests:

Please provide a permanent solution so that Woodmart stops modifying the WP Rocket configuration and breaking homepage caching after every update.
Explain why Woodmart is making this change and if there is a proper way to exclude pages like /usporedi/, cart, checkout, etc. without affecting the homepage.
Advise me on what I should do to significantly improve the performance of the homepage, as the current scores are unacceptable for an e-commerce store.

I would really appreciate a quick and concrete solution because this issue is directly hurting my website’s SEO and user experience.
Please let me know if you need temporary access to the site or any additional information.
Thank you in advance for your urgent help.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the detailed report. Our theme doesn’t add the home page to WP Rocket’s cache reject rules and we don’t insert an extra |/| there. To confirm the source of the change, please run this quick check:

    1) Temporarily switch to a default theme (e.g. Twenty Twenty-Five) while keeping WP Rocket active.
    2) Clear/purge WP Rocket cache and, if needed, resave its settings.
    3) Recheck the file: wp-content/wp-rocket-config/mitella.hr.php and see if the extra |/| appears again in $rocket_cache_reject_uri.

    Please share:
    – The full $rocket_cache_reject_uri line from the current config file.
    – The exact action after which it changes (e.g. after a theme update, after clearing WP Rocket cache, after saving any settings, etc.).
    – Screenshots of the WP Rocket settings related to exclusions on your site.

Once we have the result of the default theme test and the requested details, we’ll proceed accordingly.

    Kind Regards

    Hello,

thank you for your reply. You didn’t answer my question about performance. Could you login to my wordpress site and check what is going on? Why is it so slow?

    Hello,

Our theme is optimized for speed and should not significantly slow down your website. However, it’s possible that your website’s performance is affected by the content you have added. For instance, the use of too many plugins, large unoptimized images, or other resources can slow down your website.

We recommend that you remove any unnecessary plugins and install a JS & CSS optimization plugin such as WP Rocket. Our guide on how to optimize your website using our themes can be found here: https://xtemos.com/wordpress-performance-optimization-the-ultimate-guide-in-2021/.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Kind regards,
    XTemos Studio
