Can't edit product with WPBakery after update to 3.0
-
Hi guys,
After update the theme to v.3.0 I can’t edit nothing with WPBakery. It’s not working. There’s no description in products, pages and html blocks – all is blank. On frontend the site looks ok (still can’t edit frontend with WPBakery as well). Please help.
Cheers
Hello,
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance
Hi, thank you for immediate response . I turned the WPBakery plugin off and turn it on again and it looks like it’s working now fine on backend. It still doesn’t work on frontend but I don’t use it actually.
In WPBakery Page Builder Settings I can’t choose any template so it looks like the plugin is not fully working.
Should I delete the plugin in order to full plugin work? Will I be able to install it again? Will I loose some of the information with product or something?
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance
Could you please disable all external plugins that are not related to our theme and send us your FTP?
Could you point which plugins to disable, I think it left only plugins bundled with your theme.
Please, disable this plugin also https://gyazo.com/f12bbdb3747b53f0670831f248097cf6
And we need your FTP.
Ok, this was a siteground plugin. It’s turned off. Here are ftp details:
It seems to be some WPBakery bug since it doesn’t work even with default WordPress theme. We suggest you to use Backend editor as it is much stable than frontend. Hope that they will improve this in the future.
Ok, I can live with that, but you guys meesed up with my site 🙂 Main menu has gone and footer is different . What happened?
Hello,
The problem may occur when you switch between themes in Appearance -> Themes is that widgets may lose their positions. It is a WordPress behavior and we are not able to fix this in our theme scope. Now, you need to go to Appearance -> Widgets and move all widgets to appropriate positions.
As a workaround, you can backup your widgets configurations using this plugin before themes switch https://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-importer-exporter/
Regards
All right, thank you guys, it works now fine.
Kind regards
