Blog Element Excerpt Length & format

    I’m using the Woodmart blog element
    (1) For some reason the excerpt length in the theme settings is not limiting the excerpt shown in the blog element. I have it set to 15 words but it’s showing more than that when I use the Blog Element. http://prntscr.com/m33z9p When I use other plugins the excerpt is much shorter. Is there a way I can get this limited?

    (2) Also, I’m trying to get the format of the blog element to be similar to the format of the other plugin in the screen grab above. where the image is much smaller than the 50% of the layout. Is there a layout that will allow the listing to show this way?

    hmmm, honestly, I’m not sure what changed by today the excerpts are showing properly so likely it was me, not you. But I would still like to get the formatting adjusted slightly so the image to the left is the same height as the excerpt box to the right if possible…
