The popup is disabled/edited in the Theme Settings > Shop page > Popup

Please check the video tutorial to see how to save the translation file correctly. You can remove the plugin and translations would remain. Also, translations would remain after each theme update.
You will need to create a translation for Woocommerce strings: Loco > Plugins > Woocommerce.
Please describe the problems after update in details.
