If you can keep Only the Maintenance plugin which is called “CMP coming Soon Mode” It would be better .. so that the test site stays with the working screen. So much so it is only about this plugin that it remains active, of course if you have doubts that it is this you can also do a quick activation and reactivation test.

After all, you can do as you wish on the Staging site
