Related Products is a section on some templates that pulls products from your store that share the SAME tags or categories as the current product.

I suggest you test the functionality by activating the Storefront theme instead of our theme. Our WoodMart Core plugin can be disabled also to make this test more clear. If the problem is the same with the Storefront theme, it means it is independent of our WoodMart theme.
