Reply To: Why the images changed to low resolution for category in shop page

Hello. I am wondering if there is any update to resolve this issue with low resolution images through the category page. Because I am having the same issue. The images are fine with my original theme. They are fine when I open them up directly at there 800×800 size but when seen on the main page’s catalog page at 400×400, they blurry and low resolution. The same images, on the ipad look crisp and clear. On a PC, regardless of the screen size or resolution setting, they look terrible.

I am not using a CDN or 3rd party software which will lower resolution. We do not have any plugins that streamline or speed up the site or compress anything. All non-essential plugins were turned off, cache cleared. I’ve uploaded a new picture 1200×1200 that is perfectly clear and another picture at 400×400 perfectly clear. I’ve even use the same images in the product page and they look great. There doesn’t seem to be anything I can do to get these images to be clear.

Has anyone found a solution?
