403 Forbidden Error When Editing Text / Content
-
Dear Support Team,
I am encountering a “Server Error (403 error)” when attempting to edit and save text content on my website’s homepage using the WoodMart theme.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, I receive this error specifically when trying to modify the main heading (“ONE ÇIKAN BULMACALAR” – which I’m changing to “ÖNE ÇIKAN BULMACA KATEGORİLERİ”) and the descriptive text below it (“Rompeca ahşap bulmacalar…” etc.).
This issue is preventing me from making necessary content updates. Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this 403 error? I suspect it might be related to server permissions, a security plugin, or a server-side firewall (like mod_security).
Please let me know if you require any further information or access to assist with this.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,

Hi a.kasimyilmaz,
Thanks for reaching to us.
A 403 error typically indicates that the server is blocking certain requests. This issue is likely related to server configuration or restrictions set by your hosting provider.
Follow the article below to fix that: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/
We recommend consulting with your hosting provider to determine why these specific requests are being blocked. They should be able to review the server logs and identify the exact cause of the issue.
In the meantime, we advise against setting permissions to 777 as it can pose a security risk. The recommended permissions for WordPress files are usually 644 for files and 755 for directories.
Kind Regards,
Hung PD
