add a description to menu top level menu items

Hi,
i want to add a description to the menu top level menu items.
is it possible to add_filter to the WOODMART_Mega_Menu_Walker() class ? or do i need to include it in my child theme and customize it there ?
would approach would you recommend here ?

Hello,

As soon as a menu has been created and saved the Custom fields [for theme] would appear. One of them is Label text – field for the custom label. In addition, there is a class field there.

yes, i tried this. but it doesnt appear in the front end. do i need to do something after that ?

Your header height is not enough for the menu you have. The menu is not visible.
