I have used this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/ and whenever I add google analytics tracking code to it, it actually displays :

!– Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Analytics –>

in the head.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

I have sorted out.

Just deleted this part : !– Global site tag (gtag.js) – Google Analytics –>

and tracking code is working fine, and it´s not being displayed in the head.
