Add to cart message

I’m having an issue with the add to cart message.

The message only shows when a non variation product is added.

If I try to add a product with variations options from the drop down then the message doesn’t display on the cart page when the selected product has been added.

Hi okay, i have added a single product to my cart shown here https://gyazo.com/8f1c1b0a9c06373ce18bdb9a9e96df11 – as you can see the message shows.

If i select a option from here https://gyazo.com/5b6dbe991e139012a0c18fe0739a9778 and add to cart there are no messages letting me know the product has been added to the cart as shown here https://gyazo.com/4cb32f150d6eb227065f3d162f72f54f

Hi, the above links provided in my previous post show screenshots to the issue.

As mentioned previously, if i add a single product to my cart the, “message shows,” that says xxxx has been added to your cart which is correct.

Now if you add a product that has variation options such as pro plan 1, pro plan 2 and so on. if you add one of the selected options to your cart the message stated above does not show.

Try to disable AJAX add to cart option in Theme Settings -> Product page and check it. Also, switch to default theme to see if it is caused by WooCommerce in general or it is something wrong with our theme?

I have disabled AJAX add to cart option in Theme Settings and now it works.

However do i need AJAX add to cart? What is the purpose of it and why does it stop the message from showing?

It is our custom theme’s function so if you need standard WooCommerce behavior you just need to turn it off.
