Add to cart not working

    After updating to the latest version when I try to add a product to the cart from the product page, the cart seems empty afterwards.

    I disabled all plugins and the issue persists.

    To replicate the issue:
    1. Go to a product page
    2. Press add to cart
    3. Go to the cart page

    It seems to be a problem that you have a dashboard on a separate domain https://admin.e-vida.gr/ and AJAX requests are not working well.

    Yes, the dashboard is located on a different domain for security and caching reasons.
    The ‘add to cart’ from a product category works perfectly though as well as all other AJAX calls like third-party search plugins, etc…

    Sorry, but our custom AJAX add to cart on the product page will not work in this case.

    So the only solution is to set my dashboard in the same domain…
    Do you consider maybe fixing a patch for a later release on your theme? Having the dashboard on a separate subdomain is helpful against both security, caching and external CDNs.

    Sorry, but it is not a bug and we can’t fix it. WooCommerce generates a Session ID while adding the product to cart. And when you are using a different domain for the admin panel, these IDs are different and our AJAX call to admin area (default WordPress AJAX actions) doesn’t work correctly.
