festertuesParticipantHi there! First of all – congrats on the great theme.
I have the following problem though: I am using the Ajax add to cart sidebar; It works great on the shop and category pages, also from your product grid/carousel element in WPBakery Page Builder. However, in the single product page, it behaves weirdly: It adds the product to the side cart, but when you navigate to cart or checkout they’re empty. Also, the product is added once (if I try to add it multiple times it stays just 1 in the cart widget).
I read all the topics here related to this. I tried disabling all plugins and switching back to the parent theme, updated to the latest version (my current one was 4.5, not that old ๐ ), but then I went and restored a backup from the previous day, because the update did not solve the problem and some visual composer pages messed up a little…
Can you please help? The Ajax add to cart is crucial for us, it is one of the main reasons we bought the theme…
Best regards,

Artem TemosKeymasterHello,
Could you please disable all plugins that are not related to our theme and provide us your admin access so we can check it?
Thank you in advance

festertuesParticipantSure!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Please update the theme https://xtemos.com/docs/basel/update-theme/ and provide your FTP access to the private area.
Best Regards

festertuesParticipantDone!
FYI: after the update – as I already told you – some of the elements messed up, like the list element of the WP Bakery page builder. For example, the icons on the front page are gone. And they were important. Again, like I initially told you – I have already done the update, it did not resolve the problem, just messed more things and I resolved to reverting back to a backup.
Anyway, you’ll find the SFTP details below…..

Artem TemosKeymasterCould you please check how it works now?
Thank you
March 10, 2019 at 12:16 pm #112087
festertuesParticipantIt appears to be working fine now, thank you!
What was the problem?
And what about the issues with Visual Composer in the new version?March 10, 2019 at 1:04 pm #112102
Artem TemosKeymasterWe renamed folder
wp-content/mu-plugins
to deactivate them and now it works well. What kind of problem with WPBakery page builder do you have?
March 10, 2019 at 3:31 pm #112129
festertuesParticipantHello Artem,
I already wrote about it: FYI: after the update โ as I already told you โ some of the elements messed up, like the list element of the WP Bakery page builder. For example, the icons on the front page are gone. And they were important.

Artem TemosKeymasterPlease, provide some screenshot of some exact element with the problem. Describe how you added it on the backend so we can check what is wrong with it on frontend.

festertuesParticipantHi,
Screenshots attached. It’s the list element in WPBakery page builder as I said, it was working fine prior to the update. Regretfully, I don’t have a screenshot prior to the update when it was working… I’d have to revert to yesterday’s backup point just to get the screenshot;
Also, disabling the mu-plugins is not a real solution – they are only the basic WP Engine security plugins. Your theme should work just fine on a reputable hosting such as WPEngine. With those plugins disabled sometimes I have problems logging in….

festertuesParticipantPS: Don’t get me wrong – the theme is great and so far you’ve provided the best support experience I’ve had in years, even though I posted the issue during the weekend. Thank you, I appreciate it!
My point is just that disabling the mu-plugins is more of a temporary workaround than a permanent solution – moreover, it is unknown for how long it will be working ๐March 11, 2019 at 7:15 am #112193
Artem TemosKeymasterYes, we can’t log in your Dashboard too. Actually, our theme works well with any host including this one and we have a lot of customers using it. But some of that code adds some kind of cache or change standard behavior of PHP sessions that is why this functionality stops working. We suggest you to contact plugin developers to investigate this problem.
