Adding a new menu to main navigation

So I’m trying to add a new menu to the main navigation.

Basel: template-tags.php (inc/template-tags.php)

I’ve added this line in wp_nav_menu( array( ‘theme_location’ => ‘new-menu’ ) );

But rather than having the new menu on a different line I’m trying to get it to be on the opposite side from the main menu across the screen.

HOME CATEGORIES – on the left
PORTFOLIO CONTACT US – on the right

Two seperate menus.
