    Hello, I would like to add filters to the shop archive in the Woodmart theme, but the only option I see is by adding attributes. I add attributes, but I do not want them to be displayed on the product page or on hover over the button in the shop archive + the button “add to cart” changed. I mention that I have unchecked the option “display on the product page” in the products, but it does not work, and in any case they would still remain in the shop archive.
    Alternatively, if you have another solution through which I can add additional filters using something other than attributes.
    To give a concrete example, this is an e-commerce store with food for dogs and cats. Here I would need a filter related to size: some products apply only to small sizes, others to large sizes, and others are suitable for all sizes. Another example is related to packaging: some are in bags, others in cans, others in sacks, etc.

    With attributes, I am forced to create variable products with many variations for a single product, which makes product entry very cumbersome. I am waiting for a reply with a solution to the issues listed above.

    Hi,

    You can add filters on the shop archive without creating variable products. Use global attributes on Simple products and assign the terms to each product. This way, filters will work and the Add to cart button will remain unchanged.

    What to set up

    1) Create and assign attributes
    – Go to Products > Attributes, create global attributes like Size and Packaging, add terms (e.g., Small, Large; Bag, Can, Sack).
    – Edit each product and assign these attributes. Do not create variations and do not change the product type from Simple.

    2) Add filters to the shop archive
    – Widgets sidebar: Appearance > Widgets > add WoodMart WooCommerce Layered Nav for each attribute to your Shop sidebar.
    – Or custom block above products: Dashboard > HTML Blocks > Add new > add Product filters element (category, attribute, price), then Theme Settings > Product archive > Shop filters > set content type to Custom content and select your HTML Block.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply. Could you please let me know how to remove or hide the product count numbers from the widget filters?

    Hi, sure.

    To hide the numbers in the filters:

    – Appearance > Widgets > edit each WOODMART WooCommerce Layered Nav widget and turn off the Display product counts option. Save the widget.

    Hello,

    Sorry, it was my mistake, but actually, this particular widget doesn’t have an option to turn the counter off. You can use the following custom CSS code to hide them

    .wd-filter-list .count {
      display: none !important;
    }

    Kind Regards
