ajax call error while clearing the dummy content

Estoy usando Tethys 1.8.3
el plugin empaquetado XTemos Theme Core que viene en el ZIP rompe el sitio al activarse
el log muestra Call to undefined function xts_is_pjax() y xts_taxonomy_register_on_import()
necesito el core plugin compatible con esta versión

Lo anterior no me deja importar el content dummy, ya que deja el error: ajax call error while clearing the dummy content
