fixerParticipantHi,
This is not a bug.
I was asked to expand search criteria for the theme’s search widget:- Search inside product variations’ description for matches. I don’t need to change the display, just the search criteria. Is it possible by using the Relevanssi plugin? Does the plugin integrate with the theme’s search widget?
- Add an extra search result above the products, not for a product, but rather a brand, by the brand attribute defined in the theme’s options (pa_brand in my case). Examples: if I type ‘Chanel’ or ‘Creed’ (or part of it, like “Cha” or “Cre”), a line with a direct link to the brand will be displayed, like: קריד – Creed” or שאנל -Chanel
I can try doing that myself, I was just wondering if there’s a documentation for the search widget somewhere.
Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Woodmart search is based in the default Woocommerce search functionality. Please refer to the Woocommerce documentation or forum community on this issue.
There are plugins expanding the default Woocommerce search, for example YITH WooCommerce Ajax Search, you can consider the plugin. Perhaps it would be easier and more efficient to customize the existing plugin as per your needs.
Best Regards

fixerParticipantHi Elise,
Just to be sure, are you using the YITH WooCommerce Ajax Search in the Basel theme?
Or you are using a plugin or code of your own making that’s integrated in the theme, and relies on the default Woocommerce search functionality? Thanks

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
Our theme uses the default Woocommerce search with slight customization.

fixerParticipantHi Elise,
Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
I am referring to the widget in the attached image.
That is where I want to add the extra lines to display the brands found by the query string.I am just wondering what files should I edit in the theme, or in WooCommerce.
Because as far as I know, WooCommerce does not have a built-in AJAX search widget.Should I edit the js/functions.js file, or something else?
Thanks again for your assistance!
