Another Woocommerce Message Template Question

I have already asked this question, but I am not able to fully style woocommerce messages how I would like using only CSS. What I really need to do is override the HTML template, but for some reason overriding the woocommerce templates in notices/success.php (or alert.php, info.php, etc) is not working.

Does your template somehow override this functionality of woocommerce?

What I am trying to do is just replace your alert styles that show by default in the cart, my account page, etc with the default VC ones. I have gotten pretty close with just CSS overriding the styles, but it’s not exact.
