lost.hinataParticipantHello WoodMart support team,
We recently installed Doofinder on our site. It’s a powerful product search engine that allows users to quickly and easily find specific products. Currently, it is set up to display an advanced search layer whenever a user clicks on the search bar.
Issue: When users click on the search bar, a “light frame” appears before the Doofinder layer opens, which adds an extra click for the user. According to Doofinder, this “light frame” is not part of their solution and can be removed to streamline the user experience.
Solution Proposed by Doofinder: Doofinder suggests disabling this “light frame” so that their search layer opens directly on the first click of the search bar. It’s important to keep the search bar itself, as it triggers the Doofinder layer.
They have recommended checking the CSS selector used for the search bar to ensure it functions correctly once the “light frame” is disabled. Here is a link to their CSS selector documentation: Doofinder CSS Selector Documentation.
Request for Assistance: Could you please:
Disable the “light frame” so that the Doofinder layer opens directly upon the first click on the search bar.
Verify the current CSS selector to ensure compatibility with this configuration.I am also attaching the message from my Doofinder support team directly for clarity:

Sure, you just have to ask them to remove the in-between light frame as shown in the attached screenshot (“capture doofinder”).
That’s the code part—simply setting it to “display: none” will make it disappear!
They should leave the search bar as it is so that the Doofinder search can still be triggered from there.
This should be all they need.Thank you for your assistance and prompt response.
Best regards,
