Hello! On my site there are two categories of products: “Металлочерепица” and “Профнастил”. For the first category “Металлочерепица” I created the attribute “цвет”, which is displayed in the product card (screenshot 1). For the second category “Профнастил” I created a second attribute and also called it “цвет”. How to make the second attribute “цвет” also appear in the product card in the category “Профнастил” in screenshot 2? Please help me solve this problem.

    Hello,

It seems the slug issue of your second attribute color. Because when I used the first attribute “color” in your second category in which normally the variations not shown on product item card. This time the variation shown in the below screenshot: https://jmp.sh/Css7egC

So it is clear that the issue is not with the categories the issue is with your second attribute. Also I suggest you to use the first attribute for the second category because its the standard way normally we did not create the same attribute two times for two categories. So you can also use the single attribute for this purpose and create specific variations for your second category and did not create all the possible variations.

    Best Regards.

Example: the first category uses three colors, and the second category uses five colors. When choosing a color in the first category, all five colors will be displayed, two of which will not show a single result. Therefore, to exclude this situation, I decided to create a second color attribute. Is it possible to display the second attribute in the second category? Or is there only one option to do this through the first color attribute?

    Hello,

Only those colors are shown which are used in the product variations so if you do not want the remaining two colors in the first category and only want to show three from those colors then just use those specific three colors while adding variations in your products.

Currently it can only be achieved by using the first attribute and you have to choose specifically those colors which you want.

    Best Regards.

Perhaps we did not understand each other. I made one product “Профнастил C8A 0.35” with attributes from the first category. In the first category, the “Вид профиля” filter now displays the “C8A” option, which should not be here (screenshot 1). In the second category, in the filter “Вид профиля”, in addition to the “C8A” option, all options from the first category are displayed, which should not be here (screenshot 2). Here is what I meant.

    Hello,

That dropdown which is shown in the filters with an option “C8A” in the first category and also in the second second category. You want to hide it from the second category right?

So to avoid this you can use the WooCommerce Layered Nav widget in Appearance >> Widgets and choose the filter attribute and select the specific category on which you want to show.

In case this trick did not work then kindly share a small video clip of your issue for better understanding.

    Best Regards.

In the first category “Металлочерепица” I need to hide the “C8A”. In the second category “Профнастил”, on the contrary, you need to hide everything and leave only “C8A”.

    Hello,

Sorry it is not possible to hide specific attribute item like “C8A” from the filter while you are using the custom filter in the html block “Фильтр товаров (металлочерепица)”. The only way to achieve this is via “Woodmart Layered Nav Widget”. This widget allows you to display the specific filter in specific product categories.

So you can use WooCommerce Layered Nav Widget two times from Appearance >> Widgets. In the first one you can use the first attribute “Вид профиля :” which have slug ” profile-view” and in the second one you can use the other attributes which have the same name but different slug as “profile-view-2” and then select your specific categories according to your requirement.

    Screenshot: https://jmp.sh/L0jP1QN

After doing this you have to delete the “C8A” first attribute “Вид профиля :” which have slug “profile-view” from Products >> Attributes.

But remember that to achieve this you must have the latest version of theme and plugins and must not contain the filters from your html blocks. As when i check your theme options under the shop it contain “Shop filters custom content” option which is responsible for those filters you currently using. But in the latest version of the theme “Shop filters custom content” option is not available. So it might be due to your some third party plugin or your customization. Just deactivate your third party plugins and undo your Customization’s. So the WooCommerce Layered Nav widget can be used in your shop filters.

    Best Regards.
