Avoid loading different image resolution

How can I remove the loading of each image in different resolutions on most pages?
The product catalog page for instance loads a ton of photos because of this causing my webshop to crash due to too many requests.

This is the way WordPress and Woocommerce works and our theme does not influence that. You can try to search for the plugin, but not sure there is any.
