Backend light mode on dark theme somehow displays the custom css in backend

Good day
Before 6.4 update my backend was normal. but now all the CSS styling is affecting backend which is white background and the drop downs are black now while my front end is back #191919
As you can see

if i take the custom css out it makes my front end white instead of black (that i prefer on drop downs)
the custom css on global is
body .select2-container–default .select2-results__option {
background: #191919;
}
Can this not affect backend? like before the 6.4.0 update.
