Hi, we were using the storefront theme until we switched over to yours. We are in a crisis right now with extremely slow page times going from around 1 second with the old theme to 12 seconds plus with yours.

We have tried everything we can to speed it up – using your optimization settings etc.. But nothing works. We even disabled all plugins apart from the necessary ones like woocommerce and yoast what is used to make your theme work. Nothing has worked. Sales have dramatically slumped since this issue began, costing us in the region of £500-1000.

    Please can you help?

    Google Page Insights

    Time to Interactive
    17.8 s
    First Meaningful Paint
    12.2 s
    First CPU Idle
    12.2 s
    Estimated Input Latency
    60 ms

The worst culprits according to Google Page Insights:
    …css/js_composer.min.css?ver=5.7 / 474 KB / 7,230 ms
    …basel/style.min.css?ver=4.6.1 / 852 KB / 8,430 ms

Nearly 16 seconds in total being wasted to these scripts.

We have a powerful server hosting our wordpress site which is costing us $80/pm with Vultr. Performance was exceptional before using your theme, so it cannot be the server.

How to contact theme developers directly? The email link at the bottom of their homepage is broken:

Enabling gzip compression in the nginx config has made a massive improvement – thank the lord! Now have to figure out how to optimize this further.

    Hello,

Thank you so much purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

In general, our theme is already optimized and don’t have too many resources to make your website slow. Most likely, your website performance suffers from the content you have added to your website. It may happen in case of too many plugins, large not optimized images or other resources. So we suggest you to remove unnecessary plugins, install some kind of JS & CSS optimizing plugins like Better WordPress Minify and a caching plugin like WP Super Cache or use WP Rocket for both tasks. Also, you can use GTmetrix tool to see what makes your website slow and optimize these parts of your website.

You are already talking to a theme support team that contains theme developers too.

    Kind Regards
    XTemos Studio
