mauricio81ParticipantHi Elise,
I also need to create a blog for my website like this one: https://press-london.com/blogs/squeeze/tagged/travel
what’s the best way to do this on the Basel theme? so I can create a main page with different thumbnails to different stories and writings. Thanks!

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You need to create any page for the blog and assign it in the settings, in this case, all the existing posts would be presented. https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-a-separate-page-for-blog-posts-in-wordpress/

mauricio81ParticipantHi Elise,
I did read the info but I’d like to know what’s the fastest way to build the blog. I noticed WP bakery has some templates. Would I have to create separate pages for each story?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You will have to purchase a license to get access to the template and these templates are not something special. They are just different ways of text and image variation.
You would better view all the page of the demo, save the template or save a row as a template, upload to the post and create your own. https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/use-templates-wpbakery-page-builder/?v=9025a1ae8c64 and https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/save-row-template/?v=9025a1ae8c64

mauricio81ParticipantHi Elise,
This is very helpful. Thanks so much. I’m gonna use this to create the blog’s main page with the thumbnails and “read more” buttons for each story.
Also, does this mean that each story needs to have its own page?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
If you want to have one and the same template for all the blog posts, you create one and insert it, then change the images and texts. If you want to have different templates, you will have to create different unique templates for each post.

mauricio81ParticipantHi Elise,
I already created the blog using the WP posts page. I want to make the paragraphs less wide when viewed on desktop. I try to adjust the text through appearance>customize>css but I didn’t work. How can I do this?

Elise NoromitMemberHello,
You can switch to the Backend of WP Bakery page builder. Then you can set any width of the column and offset if in the center. https://wpbakery.com/video-academy/responsive-column-control-width-offset-param-usage-explained/?v=9025a1ae8c64
