Blog – Masonry Layout Adjustment

Hi,
I’ve selected masonry layout for my blog posts but each column appears to have a fixed height which leaves white spaces between each post (see image 1). Is there a way to remove these white spaces?
What’s funny is when I search for blog posts, the results appear how i would like my actual blog to appear (see image 2). Is there away to achieve this on the original blog page?
