Brand no longer shows on single product page

The used to be a brand link on the product pages, next to the SKU meta info but it’s not displaying anymore.
Any idea why it got removed please?

The reason the brand link is not displaying on the product pages is that the brand attribute has not been configured in the product settings.
To resolve this, you need to configure the brand attribute for your products. Once it is properly set up, the brand link will appear next to the SKU meta info on the product pages.

I don’t think that’s the issue though, I haven’t removed any attributes yet it was displaying fine back in december according to wayback machine?

Do you mean in the Product Data > Attributes section?
I haven’t done this before and yet it showed up fine a month ago. It seem like something has changed.

There is an option to add photographer to the attributes but it has never been added before

I just don’t understand why I have to do this now. I haven’t done it before yet the brand/photographer showed up fine until only a month ago?
