Brand replacing color swatches

Hi,
I’d like to change the display of the color swatch in category and sub category page. I’d like to have the brand instead.
I’ve found in Theme settings > Attributes swatches > I selected product_brand, and nothing appear.
Can you help me on that, and how can we fix that ?

Hi,
This attribute swatches are displayed based on your product variations. So if you don’t use brand attribute to create variable products with options you are not able to list them on the shop page.

ok, do you have any idea how to auto-generate brand attribute for each product ? may be you know one plugin for that
Sorry, but we don’t know any plugin that can auto-generate brand attribute.
